Case
Speed drawing for Sønderborg Municipality, Danfoss and others.
Speed drawing is a unique way to convey important messages in a simple and easy way. By using speed drawing, you can convey complex messages in a simple way, which is essential when reaching a wide audience.
That’s exactly what we chose to do when making a video for Transformer – an umbrella organization representing five business partners. The task was to create a video that would communicate how to implement environmentally friendly energy supplies to your house.
We chose to use speed drawing as the primary method in the video because it allows us to convey complex messages in a simple and easy way. Speed drawing is a unique method as it allows the audience to follow the drawing “live” in the video, making it easier to understand the message.
We worked closely with all five partners to ensure that each partner’s message came across in the video. Our copywriter created a storyboard and script, where speed drawing was used several times and partners contributed with their specific messages. In such collaboration, it’s important to focus on both the outcome and the process. Therefore, we made sure to have clear communication and clear agreements on deadlines for proofing and other things to ensure that all parties were heard and satisfied with the result.
Speed drawing also provides the ability to show the process in the video. In our video, you could follow how the drawing progressed and how the message was conveyed through the drawing. It allows the audience to understand the message in a more visual way.
We also chose to use speed drawing because it allows us to show different scenarios and solutions in the video. In our video, you could see how different energy supplies could be implemented in a house. Speed drawing offers the ability to show multiple scenarios in a clear way, making it easier for the audience to understand the message.
All in all, speed drawing is a unique way to convey complex messages in a simple way.

Project video for Sønderborg Municipality, Danfoss and others.
The task was simple, the message complex – create a video that communicates how to implement eco-friendly energy supplies to your house. We chose to make a speed drawing video (hand drawing ‘live’ in the video) as speed drawing can convey complex messages in a simple way.

Why choose speed drawing
Our video for Transformer is a great example of how to use this method to communicate messages about eco-friendly home energy supplies. By taking all parties’ messages into account, focusing on both the outcome and the process, and using speed drawing as the primary method, we were able to create a video that was informative, visually appealing and entertaining. Speed drawing is an effective way to reach a wide audience and convey complex messages in a simple way, and it’s a method that can be recommended for other projects with similar objectives.
